Habit vs. TrendI

It is the start of 2020 and you are committed to a healthier "you" this year.  You vow to hit the weights more, do your cardio, start yoga classes, and be more fit in the new year.  February rolls around and you're back in the same day to day routine you were in 2019 which you swore you would change.  This happens when we fail in three aspects.  First, write your goals down, don't just say what you want to do.  Secondly, prioritize your goals and set realistic time frames that work for your lifestyle.  Lastly, hold yourself accountable.  Revisit your goals daily, weekly, monthly and be honest with yourself.  If things are not working the way you planned, reassess.  Too often we fail to do these simple things and our lofty "resolutions" become just another trend we encounter but aren't truly committed to.  A healthy habit will grow out of your accountability to yourself in achieving your goals.  Stick to the plan and you will love the results you see.  It won't be easy.  But hey, nothing truly worth doing ever is!

"Successful people aren't born that way.  They become successful by establishing the habit of doing things unsuccessful people don't like to do."

- William Makepeace Thackeray
